Squarewave Music was founded in 2001 by award winning composer Joel S. Silver. Since then, we have provided original music and sound design for feature films, tv series, video games, as well as several unique projects that defy genre. Though Squarewave Music is based out of Toronto, Canada, we have a global client base that includes many countries on several continents. Some of our notable clients include BBC, Channel 4 UK, Discovery International, National Geographic, CBC, Much Music, Yamaha Music, Spin Master Toys, BBDO, The Canadian Film Centre and many more.

We have over 400GB of sample libraries, loads of software synthesizers, a massive 150GB sound effects library pieced together from the best available collections, as well as vintage and current synthesizers, guitars, drums and other miscellaneous sound creation tools. Whatever sound you need, we’ve probably got it – and if we don’t – we’ll get it. For our more experimental projects, we have a cutting edge MAX/MSP system, and the talent capable of creating any custom software solution or sound that our clients can dream up. We love to be challenged.
